During the development stage of the Cremorne Hotels new hidden bar “Bar 1854” I was approached to expand on the illustrations I had previously done for the hotel and introducing a new character “Peggy the Peacock” into the fold.

The concept for the bar was a cigar and cocktail venue with a casual but classy atmosphere. I eventually landed on the idea of integrating the flapper costuming of the 1920’s into my designs to convey the fun but sophisticated vibe of the venue and also allowed me to blend common elements of the flapper aesthetic and peacocks such as the feathers worn upon their heads or the fan-shape made by their tail feathers.
